Jormungandr has only three attacks:
Jormungandr's attack pattern is irregular (it doesn't follow an exact pattern) but it is based on three basic attacks: biting, shooting poison, and ground tackling. While he is above ground and stationary, he will either lower his head for a moment before lunging into a high-damage bite (while his head is lowered, it is susceptible to missile and beam attacks), or else shoot a few poison darts in succession. Both attacks are easy to recognize, and can be avoided simply by moving out of the way. If you are hit by either of these, you will be poisoned, which can be healed by casting a life spell on yourself. After a such few attacks, he will burrow into the ground. At this point he will either erupt and dive at you, tackling for high damage, or else shoot back up where you are standing to begin stationary attacks again (you know this is going to happen when you see cracks starting to appear). The easiest way to avoid both of these is to just keep constantly moving while Jormungandr is underground. Casting Haste on yourself doesn't hurt either.

  • Random Tackles (When his health drops below 50%, no way to predict the trajectory)

He is perhaps the easiest boss to fight alone. Also is very fun to fight in a 4 player team.

If you want fun, use Earth (D)Shield (E) every time he attempts a bite (area cast when he tackles).

If you're in a hurry, prepare a Earth (D)IceIceIceIce to hit while his head is on ground lever before a bite attack.
