In '''Magicka''', four mages from a sacred order fight against an evil warlock and his creations. The game world is based loosely on Norse Mythology, drawing inspiration from other western fantasy settings such as Warhammer and featuring numerous humorous references to various video games, novels and fictional universes including Star Wars and World of Warcraft as well as games its creators drew inspiration from such as Diablo.
